FAQ’s

In the even of wet weather. A rule of thumb is that all games are ON.
The games will be cancelled if the playing surface becomes unplayable or there is the threat of lightning.
The Fields at the State Hockey Center are a water based artificial turf, with excellent drainage.
I.E . The fields can be covered with water and within 15 mins have fully drained.
There will be a notice placed on the Brisbane Magic facebook Page at 4:30pm on match day if the games have been cancelled.

The surface of the playing fields are a water based artificial turf. So any type of foot wear is acceptable (as long as they are not hard studded boots).
It comes down to personal preference, all types of footwear work on the surface. None will leave you slipping on the spot.
Here are a few examples:
FUTSAL SHOES – HAVE GREAT FEEL ON THE BALL
JOGGERS – TRADE OFF FEEL ON THE BALL FOR BETTER GRIP
HOCKEY/CRICKET BOOTS – ARE PURPOSELY DESIGNED FOR ARTIFICIAL GRASS, GREAT GRIP BUT LIKE THE JOGGERS, LESS FEEL FOR THE BALL AT YOUR FEET.

Register by clicking the Single Player Registration Link at the top of the main page.
After logging into your player profile, of the FFA Playfootball website.
Select the appropriate age registration package.
Select “SINGLE PLAYER” from the Team Preference Drop down menu, then continue with registration
NB – Please be patient during this process, you may not be allocated right up to the start of the season

In accordance with the Football Queensland Refund Policy. The following conditions must have been true

– PLAYER HAS NOT PARTICIPATED IN ANY FORM OF TRAINING SESSION (PRE-SEASON OR IN-SEASON), TEAM TRIALS (FORMAL OR INFORMAL), PLAYER GRADING OR SELECTION PROCESSES, PRE-SEASON MATCHES, PRACTICE MATCHES, OFFICIAL FIXTURES, OR OTHERWISE APPEARED ON A MATCH RECORD FOR HIS OR HER CLUB

PLEASE ALLOW 14 BUSINESS DAYS FOR A DE-REGISTRATION WITH A $25 ADMINISTRATION FEE TO PROCESS APPROVED REFUNDS

IF YOU DO QUALIFY FOR A REFUND AND ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED IS FOUND TO BE INCORRECT YOUR REFUND MAY BE DECLINED

Yes all teams must have a team uniform.
The compulsory equipment of a player comprises the following separate items:

• shirt – Numbered with sleeves
• shorts – the goalkeeper is permitted to wear long trousers
• socks – tape or any material applied or worn externally must be the same colour as the part of the sock that it is applied to or covers
• shinguards – these must be made of suitable material to provide reasonable protection and be covered by the socks
• footwear

Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are distinguishable from those of the other players and the match officials. If teams are rotating keepers, a bib with the back cut you to expose the numbered shirt can be used.
